Nursery facilities provided within the school grounds ready for the new academic term in September 2017.
Project was undertaken in partnership with Gloucestershire Council.
As the work was started during term time, special care had to be taken to manage the works around peak times for children and staff travelling to and from the school. The works were segregated from the school throughout the construction process.
The building was completed with a range of internal and external finishes which included: high-spec. fire rated suspended ceiling; energy efficient air-conditioning and LED lighting; kitchen and toilet facilities, soft-play area housed beneath a bespoke steel canopy; timber fencing, steps and ramps – all colour matched to be in-keeping with the existing school’s premises.
The building utilised some reconditioned sub-components to help reduce the overall cost and carbon footprint.
All the works, from finalising the initial design through to hand-over to the client, took just 8 weeks to complete.
