One of the latest projects Cotaplan have completed was the design and build of a fully refurbished modular classroom block at Thorpe School in Norfolk. This was part of a wider school development plan, and Cotaplan provided a full turnkey package that ensured a smooth, efficient process, with minimal disruption to the school’s day-to-day activities.

Health and Safety Standards: A Top Priority
Health and safety were paramount throughout the project. The modular nature of the build meant fewer deliveries and less on-site machinery were required, reducing hazards and keeping the school’s grounds safe for students and staff while classes continued. Cotaplan’s experienced project management team maintained rigorous H&S protocols, ensuring that all work was conducted to the highest standards and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
We understand the importance of maintaining a calm and uninterrupted learning environment, especially in educational settings where disruption can hinder both students and teachers. Because our modular classrooms are built off-site in our controlled manufacturing facility, we were able to complete much of the construction process ahead of schedule, limiting on-site activity to just 6 weeks. This swift timeline allowed the school to proceed with additional external works, such as extensive resurfacing, over the half-term break without any delays.
