Additional Classroom Space To Meet Growing Pupil Numbers

Tonge Moor Primary School required additional classroom space to accommodate an increase in pupil numbers. The new building needed to provide a comfortable and efficient learning environment with modern facilities that could seamlessly integrate into the existing school site. The project also had to be completed within the strict timeframe of the six-week summer holiday, ensuring that pupils and staff could begin using the space immediately at the start of the new term without any disruption to the academic calendar.

Refurbished Modular Classrooms Delivered On Time

To meet these needs, Cotaplan re-engineered an existing modular building from their stock and upgraded it to current standards. The refurbishment included the installation of new plumbing and electrical systems, as well as high-quality internal finishes to create a professional and durable interior. High-grade insulated cladding was fitted to the exterior to improve thermal performance and remove the risk of cold spots, supporting a comfortable year-round learning environment. Integrated toilet facilities, security alarms and complete IT cabling and networking were also incorporated into the build, allowing the school to have a fully functional and secure facility from day one. All works were completed within the summer holiday period, meaning the classrooms were ready for immediate use when the new school year began.
