Cotaplan have installed a 10-bay modular building in Mile End, London. When finished, this 32.6m x 12.5m modular classroom block will be used as a teaching facility for children with a range of learning needs. Fully fitted out with air conditioning, heat recovery ventilation systems; hoists to the teaching areas and hygiene rooms, access ramps, a cantilever canopy, and groundwork as part of a ‘turn-key’ package.
The narrow access road adjacent to the site, meant a road closure was inevitable – suspending parking bays to allow the crane and haulage wagons to traverse into position ready for lifting.
Most of the plumbing and electrical work was undertaken in the factory whilst the site foundations and services were being prepared – vastly reducing the completion time on site.
